How To Uninstall dnsutils On Debian 9

To uninstall dnsutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dnsutils

Clients provided with BINDDebian 9.0net1:9.10.3.dfsg.P4-12.3
sudo apt-get remove dnsutils

This will remove just the dnsutils package itself.

Uninstall dnsutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dnsutils

This will remove the dnsutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dnsutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dnsutils

Or similarly, like this dnsutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dnsutils
