How To Uninstall e2fsprogs On Debian 9

To uninstall e2fsprogs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just e2fsprogs

ext2/ext3/ext4 file system utilitiesDebian 9.0admin1.43.4-2
sudo apt-get remove e2fsprogs

This will remove just the e2fsprogs package itself.

Uninstall e2fsprogs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove e2fsprogs

This will remove the e2fsprogs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for e2fsprogs then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge e2fsprogs

Or similarly, like this e2fsprogs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove e2fsprogs
