How To Uninstall eatmydata On Debian 9

To uninstall eatmydata just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eatmydata

Library and utilities designed to disable fsync and friendsDebian 9.0utils105-5
sudo apt-get remove eatmydata

This will remove just the eatmydata package itself.

Uninstall eatmydata and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eatmydata

This will remove the eatmydata package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eatmydata then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eatmydata

Or similarly, like this eatmydata

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eatmydata
