How To Uninstall eclipse-jdt On Debian 9

To uninstall eclipse-jdt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eclipse-jdt

Eclipse Java Development Tools (JDT)Debian 9.0devel3.8.1-10
sudo apt-get remove eclipse-jdt

This will remove just the eclipse-jdt package itself.

Uninstall eclipse-jdt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eclipse-jdt

This will remove the eclipse-jdt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eclipse-jdt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eclipse-jdt

Or similarly, like this eclipse-jdt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eclipse-jdt
