How To Uninstall ecm On Debian 9

To uninstall ecm just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ecm

prepares CD image files so they compress betterDebian 9.0otherosfs1.03-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove ecm

This will remove just the ecm package itself.

Uninstall ecm and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ecm

This will remove the ecm package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ecm then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ecm

Or similarly, like this ecm

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ecm
