How To Uninstall edac-utils On Debian 9

To uninstall edac-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just edac-utils

report kernel-detected PCI and ECC RAM errorsDebian 9.0admin0.18-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove edac-utils

This will remove just the edac-utils package itself.

Uninstall edac-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove edac-utils

This will remove the edac-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for edac-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge edac-utils

Or similarly, like this edac-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove edac-utils
