How To Uninstall edid-decode On Debian 9

To uninstall edid-decode just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just edid-decode

decode the binary EDID information from monitorsDebian 9.0x110.1~git20160708.c72db881-1
sudo apt-get remove edid-decode

This will remove just the edid-decode package itself.

Uninstall edid-decode and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove edid-decode

This will remove the edid-decode package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for edid-decode then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge edid-decode

Or similarly, like this edid-decode

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove edid-decode
