How To Uninstall egctl On Debian 9

To uninstall egctl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just egctl

control state of EnerGenie Programmable surge protectorDebian 9.0misc1:0.1-1
sudo apt-get remove egctl

This will remove just the egctl package itself.

Uninstall egctl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove egctl

This will remove the egctl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for egctl then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge egctl

Or similarly, like this egctl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove egctl
