How To Uninstall elasticsearch-curator On Debian 9

To uninstall elasticsearch-curator just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elasticsearch-curator

command-line tool for managing Elasticsearch time-series indicesDebian 9.0admin4.2.5-1
sudo apt-get remove elasticsearch-curator

This will remove just the elasticsearch-curator package itself.

Uninstall elasticsearch-curator and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elasticsearch-curator

This will remove the elasticsearch-curator package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elasticsearch-curator then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elasticsearch-curator

Or similarly, like this elasticsearch-curator

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elasticsearch-curator
