How To Uninstall elinks On Debian 9

To uninstall elinks just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elinks

advanced text-mode WWW browserDebian 9.0web0.12~pre6-12
sudo apt-get remove elinks

This will remove just the elinks package itself.

Uninstall elinks and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elinks

This will remove the elinks package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elinks then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elinks

Or similarly, like this elinks

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elinks
