How To Uninstall elixir On Debian 9

To uninstall elixir just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elixir

functional meta-programming aware languageDebian 9.0interpreters1.3.3-2
sudo apt-get remove elixir

This will remove just the elixir package itself.

Uninstall elixir and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elixir

This will remove the elixir package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elixir then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elixir

Or similarly, like this elixir

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elixir
