How To Uninstall elk On Debian 9

To uninstall elk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elk

scheme interpreterDebian 9.0lisp3.99.8-4.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove elk

This will remove just the elk package itself.

Uninstall elk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elk

This will remove the elk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elk then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elk

Or similarly, like this elk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elk
