How To Uninstall elpa-anzu On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-anzu just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-anzu

show number of matches in mode-line while searchingDebian 9.0lisp0.62-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-anzu

This will remove just the elpa-anzu package itself.

Uninstall elpa-anzu and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-anzu

This will remove the elpa-anzu package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-anzu then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-anzu

Or similarly, like this elpa-anzu

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-anzu
