How To Uninstall elpa-buttercup On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-buttercup just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-buttercup

sudo apt-get remove elpa-buttercup

This will remove just the elpa-buttercup package itself.

Uninstall elpa-buttercup and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-buttercup

This will remove the elpa-buttercup package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-buttercup then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-buttercup

Or similarly, like this elpa-buttercup

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-buttercup
