How To Uninstall elpa-company On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-company just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-company

Modular in-buffer completion framework for EmacsDebian 9.0lisp0.8.12-6
sudo apt-get remove elpa-company

This will remove just the elpa-company package itself.

Uninstall elpa-company and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-company

This will remove the elpa-company package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-company then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-company

Or similarly, like this elpa-company

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-company
