How To Uninstall elpa-expand-region On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-expand-region just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-expand-region

Increase selected region in Emacs by semantic unitsDebian 9.0editors0.11.0-2
sudo apt-get remove elpa-expand-region

This will remove just the elpa-expand-region package itself.

Uninstall elpa-expand-region and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-expand-region

This will remove the elpa-expand-region package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-expand-region then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-expand-region

Or similarly, like this elpa-expand-region

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-expand-region
