How To Uninstall elpa-flx-ido On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-flx-ido just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-flx-ido

allows Emacs Ido to use the flx sorting algorithmDebian 9.0lisp0.6.1-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-flx-ido

This will remove just the elpa-flx-ido package itself.

Uninstall elpa-flx-ido and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-flx-ido

This will remove the elpa-flx-ido package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-flx-ido then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-flx-ido

Or similarly, like this elpa-flx-ido

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-flx-ido
