How To Uninstall elpa-flycheck On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-flycheck just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-flycheck

modern on-the-fly syntax checking for EmacsDebian 9.0lisp30-3
sudo apt-get remove elpa-flycheck

This will remove just the elpa-flycheck package itself.

Uninstall elpa-flycheck and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-flycheck

This will remove the elpa-flycheck package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-flycheck then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-flycheck

Or similarly, like this elpa-flycheck

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-flycheck
