How To Uninstall elpa-iedit On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-iedit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-iedit

edit multiple regions in the same way simultaneouslyDebian 9.0lisp0.9.9.9-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-iedit

This will remove just the elpa-iedit package itself.

Uninstall elpa-iedit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-iedit

This will remove the elpa-iedit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-iedit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-iedit

Or similarly, like this elpa-iedit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-iedit
