How To Uninstall elpa-monokai-theme On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-monokai-theme just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-monokai-theme

fruity color theme for EmacsDebian 9.0lisp3.2.1-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-monokai-theme

This will remove just the elpa-monokai-theme package itself.

Uninstall elpa-monokai-theme and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-monokai-theme

This will remove the elpa-monokai-theme package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-monokai-theme then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-monokai-theme

Or similarly, like this elpa-monokai-theme

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-monokai-theme
