How To Uninstall elpa-with-editor On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-with-editor just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-with-editor

Call program using Emacs as $EDITORDebian 9.0vcs2.5.9-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-with-editor

This will remove just the elpa-with-editor package itself.

Uninstall elpa-with-editor and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-with-editor

This will remove the elpa-with-editor package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-with-editor then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-with-editor

Or similarly, like this elpa-with-editor

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-with-editor
