How To Uninstall elpa-ws-butler On Debian 9

To uninstall elpa-ws-butler just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just elpa-ws-butler

unobtrusively remove trailing whitespace in EmacsDebian 9.0lisp0.6-1
sudo apt-get remove elpa-ws-butler

This will remove just the elpa-ws-butler package itself.

Uninstall elpa-ws-butler and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove elpa-ws-butler

This will remove the elpa-ws-butler package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for elpa-ws-butler then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge elpa-ws-butler

Or similarly, like this elpa-ws-butler

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove elpa-ws-butler
