How To Uninstall emacs25-nox-dbg On Debian 9

To uninstall emacs25-nox-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just emacs25-nox-dbg

Debugging symbols for emacs25-noxDebian 9.0debug25.1+1-4
sudo apt-get remove emacs25-nox-dbg

This will remove just the emacs25-nox-dbg package itself.

Uninstall emacs25-nox-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove emacs25-nox-dbg

This will remove the emacs25-nox-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for emacs25-nox-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge emacs25-nox-dbg

Or similarly, like this emacs25-nox-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove emacs25-nox-dbg
