How To Uninstall emms On Debian 9

To uninstall emms just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just emms

Emacs MultiMedia SystemDebian 9.0sound4.2-1.1
sudo apt-get remove emms

This will remove just the emms package itself.

Uninstall emms and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove emms

This will remove the emms package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for emms then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge emms

Or similarly, like this emms

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove emms
