How To Uninstall enamdict On Debian 9

To uninstall enamdict just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just enamdict

Dictionary of Japanese proper namesDebian 9.0text2016.12.06-1
sudo apt-get remove enamdict

This will remove just the enamdict package itself.

Uninstall enamdict and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove enamdict

This will remove the enamdict package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for enamdict then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge enamdict

Or similarly, like this enamdict

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove enamdict
