How To Uninstall engrampa-common On Debian 9

To uninstall engrampa-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just engrampa-common

archive manager for MATE (common files)Debian 9.0x111.16.0-2
sudo apt-get remove engrampa-common

This will remove just the engrampa-common package itself.

Uninstall engrampa-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove engrampa-common

This will remove the engrampa-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for engrampa-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge engrampa-common

Or similarly, like this engrampa-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove engrampa-common
