How To Uninstall eog-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall eog-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eog-dev

Development files for the Eye of GNOMEDebian 9.0gnome3.20.5-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove eog-dev

This will remove just the eog-dev package itself.

Uninstall eog-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eog-dev

This will remove the eog-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eog-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eog-dev

Or similarly, like this eog-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eog-dev
