How To Uninstall erlang-base On Debian 9

To uninstall erlang-base just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just erlang-base

Erlang/OTP virtual machine and base applicationsDebian 9.0interpreters1:19.2.1+dfsg-2
sudo apt-get remove erlang-base

This will remove just the erlang-base package itself.

Uninstall erlang-base and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove erlang-base

This will remove the erlang-base package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for erlang-base then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge erlang-base

Or similarly, like this erlang-base

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove erlang-base
