How To Uninstall eso-midas On Debian 9

To uninstall eso-midas just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eso-midas

European Southern Observatory Munich Image Data Analysis SystemDebian 9.0science15.09pl1.0-2+b2
sudo apt-get remove eso-midas

This will remove just the eso-midas package itself.

Uninstall eso-midas and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eso-midas

This will remove the eso-midas package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eso-midas then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eso-midas

Or similarly, like this eso-midas

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eso-midas
