How To Uninstall esys-particle On Debian 9

To uninstall esys-particle just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just esys-particle

Software for particle-based numerical modelling. MPI version.Debian 9.0science2.3.4+dfsg1-4
sudo apt-get remove esys-particle

This will remove just the esys-particle package itself.

Uninstall esys-particle and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove esys-particle

This will remove the esys-particle package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for esys-particle then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge esys-particle

Or similarly, like this esys-particle

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove esys-particle
