How To Uninstall etherape On Debian 9

To uninstall etherape just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just etherape

graphical network monitorDebian 9.0gnome0.9.13-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove etherape

This will remove just the etherape package itself.

Uninstall etherape and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove etherape

This will remove the etherape package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for etherape then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge etherape

Or similarly, like this etherape

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove etherape
