How To Uninstall ethstatus On Debian 9

To uninstall ethstatus just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ethstatus

console-based ethernet statistics monitorDebian 9.0net0.4.8
sudo apt-get remove ethstatus

This will remove just the ethstatus package itself.

Uninstall ethstatus and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ethstatus

This will remove the ethstatus package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ethstatus then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ethstatus

Or similarly, like this ethstatus

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ethstatus
