How To Uninstall evolution On Debian 9

To uninstall evolution just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just evolution

groupware suite with mail client and organizerDebian 9.0gnome3.22.6-1
sudo apt-get remove evolution

This will remove just the evolution package itself.

Uninstall evolution and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove evolution

This will remove the evolution package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for evolution then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge evolution

Or similarly, like this evolution

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove evolution
