How To Uninstall evtest On Debian 9

To uninstall evtest just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just evtest

utility to monitor Linux input device eventsDebian 9.0utils1:1.33-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove evtest

This will remove just the evtest package itself.

Uninstall evtest and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove evtest

This will remove the evtest package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for evtest then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge evtest

Or similarly, like this evtest

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove evtest
