How To Uninstall exif On Debian 9

To uninstall exif just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just exif

command-line utility to show EXIF information in JPEG filesDebian 9.0graphics0.6.21-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove exif

This will remove just the exif package itself.

Uninstall exif and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove exif

This will remove the exif package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for exif then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge exif

Or similarly, like this exif

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove exif
