How To Uninstall exim4-config On Debian 9

To uninstall exim4-config just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just exim4-config

configuration for the Exim MTA (v4)Debian 9.0mail4.89-2
sudo apt-get remove exim4-config

This will remove just the exim4-config package itself.

Uninstall exim4-config and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove exim4-config

This will remove the exim4-config package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for exim4-config then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge exim4-config

Or similarly, like this exim4-config

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove exim4-config
