How To Uninstall expand-region-el On Debian 9

To uninstall expand-region-el just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just expand-region-el

Transition package, expand-region-el to elpa-expand-regionDebian 9.0editors0.11.0-2
sudo apt-get remove expand-region-el

This will remove just the expand-region-el package itself.

Uninstall expand-region-el and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove expand-region-el

This will remove the expand-region-el package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for expand-region-el then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge expand-region-el

Or similarly, like this expand-region-el

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove expand-region-el
