How To Uninstall expect On Debian 9

To uninstall expect just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just expect

Automates interactive applicationsDebian 9.0interpreters5.45-7+b1
sudo apt-get remove expect

This will remove just the expect package itself.

Uninstall expect and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove expect

This will remove the expect package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for expect then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge expect

Or similarly, like this expect

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove expect
