How To Uninstall explain On Debian 9

To uninstall explain just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just explain

sudo apt-get remove explain

This will remove just the explain package itself.

Uninstall explain and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove explain

This will remove the explain package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for explain then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge explain

Or similarly, like this explain

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove explain
