How To Uninstall extlinux On Debian 9

To uninstall extlinux just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just extlinux

collection of bootloaders (Linux ext2/ext3/ext4, btrfs, and xfs bootloader)Debian 9.0utils3:6.03+dfsg-14.1
sudo apt-get remove extlinux

This will remove just the extlinux package itself.

Uninstall extlinux and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove extlinux

This will remove the extlinux package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for extlinux then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge extlinux

Or similarly, like this extlinux

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove extlinux
