How To Uninstall extra-xdg-menus On Debian 9

To uninstall extra-xdg-menus just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just extra-xdg-menus

Extra menu categories for applications under GNOME and KDEDebian 9.0misc1.0-4
sudo apt-get remove extra-xdg-menus

This will remove just the extra-xdg-menus package itself.

Uninstall extra-xdg-menus and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove extra-xdg-menus

This will remove the extra-xdg-menus package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for extra-xdg-menus then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge extra-xdg-menus

Or similarly, like this extra-xdg-menus

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove extra-xdg-menus
