How To Uninstall extsmail On Debian 9

To uninstall extsmail just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just extsmail

enables the robust sending of e-mail to external commandsDebian 9.0mail2.0-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove extsmail

This will remove just the extsmail package itself.

Uninstall extsmail and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove extsmail

This will remove the extsmail package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for extsmail then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge extsmail

Or similarly, like this extsmail

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove extsmail
