How To Uninstall facedetect On Debian 9

To uninstall facedetect just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just facedetect

simple face detector for batch processingDebian 9.0graphics0.1-1
sudo apt-get remove facedetect

This will remove just the facedetect package itself.

Uninstall facedetect and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove facedetect

This will remove the facedetect package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for facedetect then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge facedetect

Or similarly, like this facedetect

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove facedetect
