How To Uninstall fake-hwclock On Debian 9

To uninstall fake-hwclock just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fake-hwclock

Save/restore system clock on machines without working RTC hardwareDebian 9.0admin0.11
sudo apt-get remove fake-hwclock

This will remove just the fake-hwclock package itself.

Uninstall fake-hwclock and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fake-hwclock

This will remove the fake-hwclock package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fake-hwclock then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fake-hwclock

Or similarly, like this fake-hwclock

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fake-hwclock
