How To Uninstall fam On Debian 9

To uninstall fam just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fam

File Alteration MonitorDebian 9.0admin2.7.0-17.2+b1
sudo apt-get remove fam

This will remove just the fam package itself.

Uninstall fam and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fam

This will remove the fam package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fam then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fam

Or similarly, like this fam

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fam
