How To Uninstall fastx-toolkit On Debian 9

To uninstall fastx-toolkit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fastx-toolkit

FASTQ/A short nucleotide reads pre-processing toolsDebian 9.0science0.0.14-3
sudo apt-get remove fastx-toolkit

This will remove just the fastx-toolkit package itself.

Uninstall fastx-toolkit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fastx-toolkit

This will remove the fastx-toolkit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fastx-toolkit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fastx-toolkit

Or similarly, like this fastx-toolkit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fastx-toolkit
