How To Uninstall fbi On Debian 9

To uninstall fbi just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fbi

Linux frame buffer image viewerDebian 9.0graphics2.10-2+b3
sudo apt-get remove fbi

This will remove just the fbi package itself.

Uninstall fbi and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fbi

This will remove the fbi package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fbi then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fbi

Or similarly, like this fbi

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fbi
