How To Uninstall fcitx-googlepinyin On Debian 9

To uninstall fcitx-googlepinyin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fcitx-googlepinyin

Fcitx wrapper for Google Pinyin IM engineDebian 9.0utils0.1.6-3
sudo apt-get remove fcitx-googlepinyin

This will remove just the fcitx-googlepinyin package itself.

Uninstall fcitx-googlepinyin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fcitx-googlepinyin

This will remove the fcitx-googlepinyin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fcitx-googlepinyin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fcitx-googlepinyin

Or similarly, like this fcitx-googlepinyin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fcitx-googlepinyin
