How To Uninstall fcitx-libs-gclient On Debian 9

To uninstall fcitx-libs-gclient just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fcitx-libs-gclient

transitional dummy packageDebian 9.0libs1:4.2.9.1-6
sudo apt-get remove fcitx-libs-gclient

This will remove just the fcitx-libs-gclient package itself.

Uninstall fcitx-libs-gclient and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fcitx-libs-gclient

This will remove the fcitx-libs-gclient package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fcitx-libs-gclient then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fcitx-libs-gclient

Or similarly, like this fcitx-libs-gclient

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fcitx-libs-gclient
