How To Uninstall ferret On Debian 9

To uninstall ferret just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ferret

CASE tool for data model editingDebian 9.0misc0.6-6
sudo apt-get remove ferret

This will remove just the ferret package itself.

Uninstall ferret and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ferret

This will remove the ferret package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ferret then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ferret

Or similarly, like this ferret

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ferret
